Greetings from the IGLTA Foundation

Dear Friends,

This holiday season we have the great pleasure of introducing the IGLTA Foundation.  If you haven’t already heard about it, the IGLTA Foundation is the philanthropic organization of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association. Our mission is to use the power of LGBT travel to build bridges with communities worldwide.  Those bridges, in turn, enable understanding, awareness and commerce to flourish in diverse communities around the globe.

The IGLTA Foundation has a new website and we have been busy updating it with information on our events and initiatives.  Please take a moment to tour our beta site and get a glimpse of what you can expect in the coming months: a scholarship program, an internship program, and a February symposium with tourism boards and travel writers.

LGBT travel holds tremendous potential to improve understanding, awareness, and opportunity throughout the world.  We are eager to hear about the great things that tourists and businesses and are doing to accomplish this.  Please feel free to reach out at any time.  We look forward to working with you!
